Remove your jewelry before sleeping, showering, or exercise. Avoid contact with perfume, sweat, chlorine, and cleaning products — these accelerate tarnishing and can affect the finish over time.
Clean it gently
A soft brush, mild soap, and lukewarm water is all you need. Work gently — especially on gold-plated surfaces, where too much pressure can wear the plating. For any darkening, a silver-polishing cloth will restore the shine.
Store it well
Keep pieces in a padded box or airtight bag, away from sunlight and humidity. Never store jewelry in a bathroom. Individual pouches work well for preventing pieces from scratching each other.
A note on gold plating
Gold-plated jewelry is by nature delicate. How long the finish lasts depends on skin chemistry, sweat, and exposure to products. Treating it gently will extend its life significantly.
